I spotted this small plant in the Dolomites last week with a weirdly deformed red/orange berry on it. It was growing at about 2000m. Anyone have any idea as to what it might be?

Hmm, I suppose it could. That thought hadn't crossed my mind, but would explain the weird shape of it (which isn't very berry-like).
