It can b****r off for a few weeks yet please!
- I am leading on Ben Alder this weekend, Monar next, and then Torridon. Rather fed up of wet weather, let alone cold n' wet
I am driving up to the Nevis range on Friday to go skiing in order to win a bet. Unfortunately, I don't think the snow cover will be quite as good as when I was up in April...
No sign of any snow yet. ...but I was a bit surprised tonight to see a little rowan tree with a load of red berries, as I trundled around Edinburgh's Queens Park!
A bit early isn't it?
The forecast for Beinn a'Bhuird is heavy snow on Monday morning, with great accuracy the Met Office is forecasting only sleet on the adjacent Ben Avon at the same time (computer generated I presume?). While I take this particular forecast with a pinch of salt it would seem the general picture is suggesting snow quite soon. The wind doesn't look good for getting out on the hills this weekend.
In reply to Only a hill: I think to satisfy "Enough to quicken the pulse and fill you with some optimistic expectations for the coming winter" we need to see a landscape picture of settled snow on munro tops taken from a distance even it it is a dusting!
