Hi
Been three times to MonViso climbing from Giacoletti, Sella and Vallanta huts. Giacoletti is an outstanding alpine rock climbing centre, family run and very helpful. The routes range from 5 mins to over an hour approaches but all are good fun & not overbolted at a variety of grades. The long ridge routes are spectacular.
Vallanta climbing is more limited but still interesting and then there's Monviso which is a classic Alpine giant with a good normal route (F+, variable, according to snow conditions) & the E. ridge at AD.
The people are lovely & Saluzzo a great place to chill out. Much less of the commercialisation that you find in Cham. Mornings can be stunning weather but it often clouds up by midday so get up early!
Have a good time!
Dave
