As in the title I'm after finding out were to take some family and friends who haven't climbed before.
Can any one help me, I'm after a single pitch, easily accesed crag around the Porthmadog area.
Cheers Dean

Standard responses might include Upper tier here - http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=6

Craig y Tonnau is pleasant - http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=2045 - but would be a bit of a hike from Porthmadog - 30/45 mins drive?

The Climbers' Club Tremadog guidebook has some suggestions for single pitch venues close-by.

Moel-Y-Gest buttresses are best bet though access is a bit scrappy. A bit of easy bouldering around there too.

I'd go to the Moel y Gest buttresses. Tends to be quiet, both in terms of climbers and also you don't have the traffic noise that you get at Tremadog. Also nice views over the bay.
