I'm heading this way for the month of September to study and was thinking that the climbing there looked nay bad. Any tips/advice for easily accessed areas from the Asturias side? Also anyone who happens to live in the area who is competent/willing to hold the other end of the rope would be welcome, as I'll be on my tod. I've heard the caving is pretty awesome too...

We climbed in the Valle de Quiros in May 2013. Fun spot.

The caving is world class - a selection of UK clubs involved. SDome excellent climbing as well - - a mix of mountain routes and some pretty intense rock routes. Loads to go at.

If your Spanish is up to it, try posting for a partner on this site: http://www.madteam.net/foro/quedadas If you don't actually speak Spanish, it's still worth trying. You just need enough Spanish to work out how to register and use the site, you can post in English - a lot of Spanish climbers speak English.
