Street shoe sizing will give you a comfortable, all day fit with thin socks.

What s/he said, I borrow a pair of my Dad's which is half a size smaller than my street shoe size, but with it being a board lasted boot I don't suppose there'd be the same concern about the boot rolling around your foot or dead space, like with high performance shoes, trying on would be ideal, but either would do.

You may find you need extra sockage perhaps if you match to street shoe size, we all have different feet.

I don't know, I've only every borrowed my Dad's and haven't worn any from new. A good thing to do might be to look up how they're made, whether they're unlined or not. If boots/shoes are unlined they're more likely to stretch a bit.

As far as I remember they're lined, but you'd be better off checking.

will stretch a bit bit having them tight kinda defeats the point
