Galvanised or stainless steel?

Any major differences in terms of use or pretty similar?

In reply to Lynsety:

Stainless is a little less flexible, but some reckon a little smoother (especially if you go for the 'slick' version where the cable is drawn through a die) galvanized tends to show corrosion sooner and more obviously.

In reply to Lynsety: if ur using a modern indexing system then stainless steel is the way to go, less friction, no corrosion, less stretch.
