Nearly 158,000 metres of ascent, and 1730 miles of "travel", I have nearly finished !!!!!!!

Question is, what have I nearly finished ???????????????

Er no, that was a long time ago (unless I'm in my 37th year of training !!)

Yep, prize go to Tom.

After 10 years and much swearing, laughing, wonderful times, wondering what the hell I'm doing, meeting fellow hill goers who have become lifetime friends, a few tears, getting lost a few times, finding some of the best places and sights I have ever seen, etc, etc, etc, I finally cracked it.

I got to my final Munro, (well, actually it will be later on this year)

Its been a long haul folks.

Question, what do I do next.?

Enjoy yourself?

We ended up doing a corbett round instead by accident. Currently trying to get views from a large number of the munros we never had one from and some occasional top bagging.

I have just spent the weekend in the western highlands (doing my 281st and 282nd hill) and its reminded me that given the weather, we live amongst some of the best scenery in the world

Eh! What about the mass of hills we have that don't make that particular hill list. Loads n loads of great peaks to explore and remote Island peaks.

Think carefully, technically I have had mine to do (the last 20 metres at least) for 4-5 years now, and each year that goes by I become more and more convinced that I don't want to complete.

In the words of my mate at the top of his last Munro -when asked how he felt -
"Deflated" he said.
Those words ring out to me every time I think about 'completing'

So don't rush at it,you might want to keep that last Munro indefinately.

Do some Corbetts for a while.

Any photos...?

I'm looking out from work on a great blue sky day in Glasgow, some photos of the Western Islands would be a nice distraction.
