I think this is one of the best books I've read for ages. Utterly honest, funny and at time rather sad. I quite like his pictures too. Has anyone else read it ?

No but I enjoyed 'Suspended Sentences' by the same. Funny, self-deprecating sideways look at the stars of the era- Whillans, Boysen etc

I have a copy on the shelf, bought at one of his talks. I haven't read it yet due to a massive backlog but it is steadily advancing to the top of my list.

I have read it. What I particularly like is that he is an ordinary person who has done extraordinary things, and been witness to some notable events. I like his paintings in the section at the back. I have had a recent clear out of books to make some space, but kept all the Jim Curran books.

I read and greatly enjoyed it, more so than his previous (and they were pretty good). Very touching in places and devastatingly honest.

Beautifully done book too, especially with the art work - tricky to pull off at a reasonable price.
