You've got to say it does look pretty dodgy, and although the seller has 544 feedback they've only sold 6 items and nothing for about 5 years.
The chances of anyone identifying a random selection climbing gear positively enough to make the cops interested is pretty slim so flogging stolen goods on E-bay probably isn't too risky.
