are you looking for trad or sport venues?

Idwal slabs / cwm idwal has several well known and easily identifiable routes

Plenty of Diff routes to choose from, its a well used place so no vegetation and plenty of places for protection.

He has posted in the bouldering forum, so I'm guessing he is after easy bouldering?

Best value in the beginner range is to be had at the RAC boulders and the Cromlech boulders, easy access and good parking at the RAC. You'll either have to pick your time/get lucky/ park lower down and walk up for the Cromlech or jump on the bus from Llanberis. Once you've cracked the Cromlech boulders, look across the road, that hillside is the promised land! Utopia, Wavelength, Pieshop, Satellites and the Meadow make one of the best venues in the UK. Usually quiet and with great views.
Hope you enjoy it.

I'm no boulderer, but from reading the a55 guidebook I believes there is a small selection of good beginner problems at Meliden quarry. Access is excellent.

I definitely recommend the RAC boulders.
