Son, aged 9, led his first trad route last night... happy days!! Pharos HS 4b at Portishead Quarry... as proud as punch, clean onsight.

The excitement mounted when he dropped his belay plate down the slab and had to use an Italian hitch to bring me up (thank goodness he remembered his knots!)
just a great evening out.
