Considering climbing the Rimpfischhorn from Zermatt in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have any recent reports from the area to share?

Just flying out of Geneva now. Did Alphubel and Allalinhorn among others. Conditions perfect, although more snow than I was hoping for made alot of snow plodding. Problem is it could change completely in 2 weeks!

Went up it by the normal route from Fluhalp ten days ago, conditions good & unusually snowy as are most things this year. The top bit from the couloir to the summit ridge was mostly on good neve with only a few unavoidable bits of rocky scrambling on the crest. Spent the week after in Saas, the weather was pretty decent mostly but looked to be on the turn when I was leaving yesterday.

No but if you do it do read the bit about traversing out of the couloir in the guide and act on it!
