Whymper Couloir conditions

Hi,

Thinking of heading out to Chamonix later this month and / or early October and the Couloir is on my wish list.

Anyone know what state it's in? I guess that normally it's very thin this late in the season, but given the cold conditions during the summer, might it be reasonable to think that it'd be in better condition than usual ?

According to the OHM logbook it's been in very good condition over the last week, but there's been a return to normal Summer weather conditions in Chamonix lately so you might be out of luck if you leave it too late.
