Hi there,
Looking for recommendations for a nice jog in the llanberis area. Something that would take me about an hour (12 ish km on the flat) don't mind a few hills but would like to spend most of the time 'running'.
Garmin/Strava/etc activity links most appreciated!
Thanks for any help,
RW

Around the lake is around 45 mins to an hour.. padarn circuit… road and trail..

It depends how much of a runner you are..

My favourite was always foel Goch..

Llanberis > bwlch maesgwm > foel goch then straight down the fence line back towards llanberis, dropping back right into maesgwm further down by the nose..

Another trail loop is just out and back from pyp along the miners

or go up the pig and drop down to the miners.. then back..

Tis pretty hilly other than around the lake. One I like doing is from Victoria Hotel head towards Nant peris to the end of Lyn Peris, cut up through the Slate quarry to Bus stop and then back down into town via Padarn Park. It's about 5 or 6 miles and the uphill section is joggable.

Have you done ras y moelwyn, or done the route? Ive not entered the race but have followed the route in my own time, tis a good run, a bit harsh in places but some great scenery along the way

For me the best runs are Moel Eilio.. any link on that ridge..

Moelwyns is great, done the race a few times, cracking route..

Carneddau was a great race, now dead I think.. but its essentially the CD > Yr elen horseshoe which has some fantastic running..

the other good area and few visit is north of capel, there's some lovely trails in that area around gerionydd/capel and gwydr forest if the weather is bad..

However I think my favourite run was from rhydd ddu, take the bridleway/path across to beddgelert forest and climb to the col between the he bog satellites and nantlle ridge, run up that shoulder, faint path, then come back along to Y Garn on the nantlle ridge and descend.. its only 5 miles or so, but a cracking route.
