Rosneath peninsula slate quarries

After being very intrigued by the descriptions in the guidebook I went to check out the 3 quarries on the Roseneath peninsula.


All in all very overgrown and probably haven't been climbed since documented in 2003.

I have updated the UKC logbooks with photos (a couple of shoddy panoramas) if anyone is interested.

The Mendip quarry boys of this parish would soon get all that sorted for you. Excavating obscure, chossy esoterica is their bread and butter.

It is all a bit grim - I dunno if it would be worth the bother.

There was some ancient tat through the thread described in the routes at the hole in the forrest quarry.
