Food contaminants in low fat products

There is a sense that foods like low fat yoghurt and skimmed milk will not go off as quickly as the full versions,but I presume that this is likely to be incorrect.
I suppose that the reason for the post is the idea that you may be able to eat low fat products longer after the best before date than the alternative products.
Any bacteriologists in the house?

Dunno, but I find (counterintuitively) that butter seems to keep better than margarine. It's probably because of the salt.

And the good thing about butter is that it has a rancid taste if it goes off,so that you know.Whereas I think that margarine would possibly have a growth on it,but not necessarily taste off.Or is that opposing what you are saying?

I found that off margarine tasted yuck, though TBH margarine tastes yuck anyway.
