Is it really William Shatner's version of Common People though, or is it more Ben Folds's version, featuring William Shatner and Joe Jackson?

Personally I like the Scissor Sisters version of Comfortably Numb, but I'm sure it's a strong contender for many. No point making a cover version that sounds just like the original.

My vote goes to any X-Factor type malarky. Songs that Cowell happens to own the rights to made into proper anodyne sausage-factory pap for the masses.
