Can anyone recommend a good traffic monitor app?

I have looked at a few and they all seem to get mixed reviews, I think the holy grail is very current info. Many seem to leave traffic problems on the app that has long since cleared. I'm happy to spend money on the right app....anyone have a view?

Thx in advance

Google maps always seem reasonably reliable.

Used AA Roadwatch Pro this summer and seemed to be very responsive to changes in traffic. No reference point to criticise it otherwise though.

I've been told an app called Waze is very good. It relies a lot on user input, worked great in Mexico where the concept of hands free doesn't exist.

Waze is excellent, I use it on my commute every day here, it has redirected me around long queues on the highway several times now.
