For years there was a safety rope leading down below the railings at the top and across to the Arms Race bolt belays, to help protect anyone soloing down. Anyone know if it still there? I can't remember it when I was there a few months ago, maybe was getting a bit old and frayed and been removed?....Just thinking about going down for a shunt later....cheers.

I think I know the one you mean and it wasn't there last time I was up there (20th August, so this is a bit out of date).
