Hi. I am going up scafell pike later in October. we have no car. i want to start from 1 accommodation, walk up, then down to another place by a different route. Any recommendations for accommodation, route etc most welcome.
In reply to tonanf: trains run to eskdale from ravenglass on west cumbria line. buses from seatoller (borrowdale) or honister pass to keswick and on to penrith for west coast main line.
Or vice versa....
