One of the UK's biggest competition series, the Axis Winter Bouldering Series, kicks off at Climb Newcastle on October 24th for its 6th year. Climbing hold manufacturer Axis Round Edges is on board for a third year as series sponsor, so expect more funky green holds from the Netherlands; in fact a real Dutch feel with Suzan Dudink's (in)famous setting, along with other resident setters Chris Graham and Andy Earl of course.
Here's the details... 35 problems, fb 3 - 7c, all day from 12 midday to 9pm to try them. Big overall prizes based on the scores after 5 rounds (best 4 of 5 results count) in the categories junior (U16), senior and vet (45+) male/female, plus supervet 60+. Plus raffle giveaways each evening including great prizes from E9 clothing. All competitions at Climb Newcastle are at normal entry price.
