This is about non-climbing holiday travel insurance.

Can you recommend me a good annual European policy? I'm not just looking for a good price: I can get that info from comparison sites. I'm more interested in excellent customer service, reliable help if an emergency crops up, fuss-free claims procedure, that sort of thing.

I use M&S for a family policy. (It's actually Axa.)

I use them because of some excellent service when I made a claim on a household policy from the same team a couple of years ago, and the price looks competitive & the coverage fits what I need

I use a company called Voyager, through my broker. I currently have an annual world-wide policy to cover the family and I got a bolt-on extra bit to cover me for this year's Etape with increased cover just for the day of the event.

I've used them for years and they were great when I had to claim for a lost camera due to a ripped pocket on a ski trip a few years ago.

I should add they have different levels of policy, depending on what you're doing, and they cover off-piste skiing in the standard policy.
