On the plus side, the known universe is unlikely to get "bigger", just more filled in. The cosmic horizon is the distance at which things are receding faster than light, so no signal from there can ever reach here. There might be nothing beyond it, or the universe might go on forever. We will never know.

im just sad that ill not see light speed travel in my lifetime, unless something truly stupendous happens. Well be limited to our solar system untill that happens.
