So after endless questions about ice axe dismantling, wood treatments and latin, along with a hard learned lesson about why you don't clean lacquer brushes with white spirit I have run out of time & decided to call it finished.
There's a bit of damage to the wood & ingrained epoxy and stuff I can't do a lot about but it looks OK if I squint a bit...
So, I present: The new Avon Mountaineering Club "golden ice axe" trophy. I just hope we have someone who has climbed something interesting enough to deserve it this year.
