Hello,
5 years ago I thought I was being clever fitting these L1 downlighters from TP24. Now the bulbs are blowing I realise I can only fit TP24 brand bulbs in, because of a small non-electrical pin that protrudes from the fitting. I am annoyed, and before I surrender and buy more bulbs from TP24 was wondering if there was any reason no to just snap/snip/drill off the offending pin so that I could use any GU10 bulb.
Anyone tried it/see any reason I shouldn't?
