How much do you spend a year on climbing gear?

I suppose roughly one rope every three years, new shoes every two years, one item of clothing less than every year and couple of bits for the rack per year. Perhaps £140.

Oh dear - is over 12 years a long time if you climb a lot then?

Loads this year, because in bits and pieces I bought my entire rack. I think a lot less next year!

If we include petrol costs... but discount beer... about the same as I used to spend on 3-4 snowboarding trips.

If we're only counting clothes and hardware, much more...
