Hi all i had a day planned for tomorrow at horseshoe quarry i am reasonably new to outdoor stuff so im wondering if after all the rain we've had this week wether horseshoe is likely to be dry enough to climb? If its not does anybody have any suggestions as to another destination in the peak that might be worth a look

Damp weekend in November? Go indoors.

HS is grim. Tomorrow it will be wet and grim. Look at some of the smaller walls on the Stoney main edge. Places like Minus Wall overhang gently and are often dry when all about are streaming.

Horseshoe is always worth a look this time of year, dries quick, especially the main wall, can be sheltered too or v cold. Garage buttress further down is usually okay. Better than being inside.

Bouldering wise, minus ten is usually in, and there are a few routes there which be okay too.

Thanks for the reply. Going to have a look there, maybe try lawrencefield or somewhere else sheltered. Definitely beats inside but if it's bad tomorrow it might have to be indoors, beats no climbing
