Dear UKC Users,

I am currently planing a trip to the Isle of Arran and was wondering if anybody who has stayed there before could recommend some accommodation? Have looked online but was wondering if anybody knew of any gems? Looking for self catering stuff for between 6-10 people over Easter. Not fussed on location as long as it's on the island! Would also be interested in camping barn style if that was available.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Sam,
I've stayed at Shore Lodge near Brodick Castle. It was cheap and a really nice place to stay. Might be worth a look.
Cheers, Ross.

Hi Sam,
Have you tried Cottages and castles? Most of the self catering stuff on the island is listed with them: http://www.cottages-and-castles.co.uk/properties/South-Scotland/Arran/

The other obvious lead is Visit Scotland.

Shore Lodge is cheap and chearful and handy for Brodick/Goatfell. These days it is often run as a hostel so you may be sharing with whoever else is booked in (it sleeps 14).
