Just bought a samsung tab 3. I used to own an ipad. Never needed to do anything with the ipad for protection. Not sure if i need to put anything on this. I would like to download one app where i need to deactivate the default blocker, but not sure what is built in to save it if anything does try. Is this the same as apple, inbuilt firewall or anti virus?

We bought McAfee anti virus software for tablets from PC World. The cost was quite reasonable and gives us piece of mind.

I put a free trial anti virus on, i'll see how i go. Some pretty intense warnings before accepting an app download though, is this normal. Things like, will allow to change messages, take information, modify content etc. Seems allowing apps in gives them access to as much of my stuff as i have. Is this normal?

I treat my tablet like a normal pc. I would not do online banking etc. without anti virus software. However this is my personal opinion and I have no evidence to support my views.
