I took a walk onto Ingleborough on Fri, didn't summit as the wind chill was very high and cloud was down on the summit plateau. Crampons not really necessary, but Yaktrax really useful on the icey paths.

I walked from Clapham to Ingleborough yesterday. Icy paths & knee deep snow on the steeper approach slopes. Clag cleared for a brief moment on reaching the plateau from the Swine's Tail path.

I was up by Attermire Scar early on Saturday and it was absolutely bloody amazing weather.

Crystal clear blue scars/no wind/brilliant sunshine and crisp snow.

It's raining down in Leeds now tho

I had a similar day on Casterton Fell and Great Coum. Good enough weather to sack off potholing. Woke up this morning with half an inch of water in tent (had a couple of pints and forgot to close the vents) so went home.

I think Ingleborough is my favourite hill in England. That or Pillar.
