Went for a hill run (mostly forest tracks) this afternoon, and had a good look. There's not much snow remaining on western aspects but there's been a dusting of fresh above 500 metres. Eastern aspects have strips of snow holding in the gullies down to about 300 metres and are generally still quite well loaded above 500 metres. Be very vigilant on or under steeper aspects as there have been a number of natural avalanches in the last few days and tomorrow's rising temperatures won't improve the situation.
