Ever since I replaced the battery in my suunto vector, it plays up every now and then, The time and date change to 18:00. sat 1-1-00
has any one else had any problems after changing the battery?

My SuutoX6 did exactly that when battery failing so may be replacement battery no good?

Yep exactly the same here after a battery change, new battery sorted it after lots of head scratching and a call to the nice folk at Sunnto

When my old battery was getting low.the watch face was very dull,but it never used to change the time.
I maybe have a dud new battery tho?

It was the way I knew the battery needed replacing, suddenly find it showing the wrong time and date reset. I would keep resetting the time but fairly soon the display would fade and then it had to ne a new battery. Most likely your new battery is a dud.

Is it a cheap battery?
If put £1 shop batteries in my Core it is fine for a bit and then plays up, before running out after a month.
A proper Duracell or similar will last dozens of times longer
