argyll?

anyone out there know if there's much climbing/climbers in argyll and around that area? also weather and other factors...?
possibility of studyng there by the end of next year and ease of climbing may end up playing a big part in my choices ?!?!

Some climbing about Arrochar and Knapdale but you will probably head for Glencoe when it's dry. Not much single pitching cragging.

Hi there

Relatively big place, but there's a little bit of everything, outcrop trad, mountain trad, sport in a couple locations and some boulders scattered over the place. Main issue will be the weather, it's a wet place in dark months, thus winter climbing might be your savior: Glen Coe, Arrochar, Ben Cruachan...

Agree it is a big place.

Coll, Tiree, Mull, Islay, Mull of Kintyre, Arrochar. Glencoe was in Argyll but is not now.
