Just wondering if anyone has been out and about in the Berwyn last couple of days. Looking for info on how much snow there is up that way, thinking of getting out tomorrow.
In reply to GerM:
What fell is still there, but tussocky and powdery, bit of a crust in places. Nice for a walk, that's about it unless you're desperate!
Looks from afar are often deceptive here - the dense heather and tussocky grass covering the Berwyns often makes the snow look deeper and more uniform than it is.
I did, and a good day out it was too, started on the llangynog road along ridge to Cadair Berwyn, glorious sunshine. Heatheryness near road heavy going for a while, but got better higher up.
