Any ideas of conditions up there? Ice axe needed? Out with the missus but may rent an axe?

A bit of snow on the top of Meall a Bhuachaille. I did carry an ice axe yesterday on Cairngorm but didn't need it at all - crampons yes, though, lots of slippery bits!

It was a stunning day, we didn't need anything.

Some snow but not super icey apart from the final descent but we picked our way around the ice sections. I carried an axe and crampons but very few on the hill had any winter gear and everyone was fine.
