I would like to take my 2 young children for a play in the snow tomorrow.
I live in Wakefield and was guessing the northern end of the Peak District would be the nearest area that still has a decent bit left.
Is this true and if so can anyone recommend a place not too far from a car park as my youngest is only 2....
Thanks

Take them up the top of Holme Moss if its passable. They'll be loads of people sledging up there.

Try Dovestones Reservoir, the A635 from Holmfirth was open yesterday, despite what the flashing signs in Holmfirth said. the paths are very icy though.
