In reply to Nick Russell:
This is going to be quite a lengthy round-up as I hit 5 years of climbing this year. So I thought I'd reflect on that a bit. Mainly with numbers I'll admit. When I started FC in week 113, I was 14st 6lbs, I could do a 5k in 35 minutes. I could second VS and lead VDiff. I'd never run further than 10k. I hadn't done much hillwalking and no mountaineering.
So now? I'm 12st 5lbs, but have been 11st 10lbs, I can lead HVS (but I'm a VS leader), I can second E2 cleanly. I can run a 5k in 25 minutes and have run 40 mile ultra marathons. I've redpointed 6b+ and onsighted 6a+. I've climbed three 4000m peaks in the Alps and a couple of other smaller ones (TBH, the Aiguille Du Tour at 3500m was the best). I've done a fair bit of hillwalking across the UK and my wife and I have made a big dent in the Wainwrights. So 404 different climbs over 5 years and 547 actual routes (so that includes repeats). That's pretty poor really and I suspect that lack of volume is the reason I've not got as far as I'd like.
biscuit was doing fitclub then and the others who were here then were AJM, IainRUK and mbh. Out of 31 contributors in week 113 only 5 of us are still doing FC.
Exercise Diary Stats:
2010 - 40% days with exercise
2011 - 44% days with exercise (this year I deffo recorded everything on the diary)
2012 - 50% dwe
2013 - 51% dwe
2014 - 55% dwe (after a really strong start, I tailed off a bit due to DIY demands)
Also this year, I did count the days spent filling skips, breaking and moving concrete as exercise. I don't think that's unreasonable.
So stated goals from last year were:
Scotland for Winter Climbing (only one trip, but yes)
Orkney for sea stacks (no)
A week abroad (Morocco, so yes)
General - improve climbing as much as possible -

Not that bad I guess. I'm going to be a bit more specific this year I think:
11st weight (I'm serious this time, it's going to chuffing happen!)
Redpoint 7a - Western Front Direct at Navigation
Consolidate HVS
Lead E1
65% dwe on the calendar
I think they're all quite achievable. I've been looking at my schedule and I reckon I can do the following most weeks:
one 2 hour session
one 1.5 hour session
one 3 hour session
Routes for this year
Sloth (HVS), Rock Idol (E1), WFD (7a), The Assassin (HVS), Eliminate A (VS), Exposure Explosion (HVS), The Bludgeon (Sheperds Crag) (E1), something on Cloggy, Valkyrie (VS), Cemetary Gates (E1), Cenotaph Corner (E1), Isis (HVS)
Long Term dream routes
Careless Torque (8A), London Wall (E5), Heart of Stone (E7), Dalriada (E7), Phaser (E3), Superstitious (7a DWS), Skull Attack (7b+), Masada (8a+)
