Thinking of visiting Portland and hoping to get in some climbing this weekend.

Can anyone recommend the best crags climbing up to 6b on a very windy day. The wind is westerly. Looks to be strong all weekend!

Is the cuttings our best bet? Any of the coastal crags feasible?

Any of the east side crags not by the sea; Neddyfields right through to the Cuttings. Dungecroft and the Lost Valley are good for getting a lot of mileage in below 6b when the weather is indifferent.

Thanks John. Had a good day at the cuttings. Cleared up by 12 and really good and sheltered. Will look up the other places you mention for tomorrow.
