I'm arranging a group trip to Rjukan in Norway at the end of the month, flying to and from Torp Sandefjord Airport.

Can anyone please help by recommending a good hire car company to use? I've had a look at a lot of the "bigger" companies but I've found on other climbing trips in the past that its the small local companies that can often offer the best value and service. Any other general advise for the trip would be greatly appreciated as well!

Rent-a-wreck will probably be cheapest by miles.

And there cars are not anywhere near as bad as the name suggests.

Haha yes that was my initial thought when i saw them earlier!

Yes we used them, too. We had a VW Polo and it was fantastic. Loads cheaper than most others and a great service.
