Hi all
Off to Cham end of this month. Anyone recommend a particular guide for Val Blanche and other mid grade off piste?

I've used Rob Jarvis at High Mountain Guides before and would definitely recommend him.

I've also heard good things about James Thacker and Jonny Baird, but haven't been out with them.

Not sure if you've sorted accommodation yet, but Chalet Breezy is run by a UK couple whose love and knowledge of skiing in the Chamonix area is just incredible!

I spent some time with Johnny Baird this summer, no skiing, but he was very knowledgeable about mountain travel in general and a good laugh.

Just as an aside, and maybe you'll already do this, but it's worth letting the guide decide which runs to ski rather than specifying, say, the Vallee Blanche, as there may be better stuff out there on the day.
The Vallee Blanche is fun though!
