I had been humming and hawing as to whether to head across to Snowdonia and explore somewhere new for me. I was all set to go when I saw some pictures of the mountains of Connemara covered in a decent amount of snow. As this is one of my favourite places I changed my mind and headed into the west. I'm glad I did. Here's the story http://howlingmist.blogspot.ie/2015/01/mweelrea-and-twelve-bens-winters-tal...

I hope you enjoy and perhaps even visit yourself someday.

Excellent account of your trip and some very impressive photos.

Connemara is a beautiful place. A pity the area isn't a bit more user friendly for walkers in terms of parking and footpaths ( Letterfrack being a notable exception).

Cheers Tom. I have to agree. Almost every hostel etc I stay in doesn't have a drying room...it rains here too

Excellent!

I go to Dromore West, west of Sligo, once or twice a year.
Looking at your blog thing, I think I'm going to have to head SW for a day or two!
