I rediscovered my first ever camera recently. For your edification, here is a picture of it next to my newest point & shoot.

Note the advanced focal length setting (two options available) and the remenants of the tape based photographic paper mounting system. The shutter is not currently fitted, but sellotape and black paper are still readily available.

My dad made it for me when I was about 7.

Any idea if you can still get b/w photographic paper? One of my mates thinks I should mount a large CCD or CMOS sensor to the back board and fill it with electronics...

The Stills Gallery photography resource in Edinburgh, still run courses for folk wanting to try out Pinhole cameras.
B+W paper still available too!

Edinburgh is a bit of a trek for me, but I might see about getting some paper and chemicals.

Lots of people out there doing it:

Thanks for posting - I think I might investigate this myself.

That's a great photo, although I'm not at all sure what I'm looking at!

Very nice. Are they all still in regular use?
In reply to davidbeynon:

Indeed, they are my main cameras on rotation. If you'd like to see some recent shots, head here:

Your front page is making me all nostalgic for Sheffield. I used to work just opposite the botanical gardens.
In reply to davidbeynon:

Oh really, whereabouts? I live almost next door!

I used to work on Clarkehouse Road. About 8 or 9 years ago now.
In reply to davidbeynon:

Cool, I'm on Clarke Drive for the time being. Great location.
