Yawn.

It's sad to say but this show has well and truly died on its feet. The race was remarkably similar to a London race along the Themes.

The show is in dire need of a new format and stuff.

Though, with carbon frames, they can need careful checking to make sure they're safe.

I read the head of a bike company saying he prefers alu bikes to be in the pro team supplied by his company for that reason, that damage is easier to gauge by eye was how he put it, and don't need as much care to be taken in being loaded onto car roofs and things.

That's not to say carbon can't be old boots tough in mountain bikes and have wonderful things done with it while being light weight, to avoid a 'this material is best' style thread developing. (:~))

Interesting, which company was that?
In reply to The Lemming:

I thought the Telegraph review summed it up quite well

"You don't go to a Rolling Stones gig craving new songs"

Yes it's the same format, It certainly wasn't their best, but i still enjoy it.

Common problem for headaches in modern helicopter tail booms and planes like the A380 and 787. Having said that, maybe they have found new techniques to look for stress issues?

Yes but the difference in costings and safety analysis and approvals for air worthiness are in a different league all together to a bike or tennis racket ( carbon frames)
