Saw the dame in action at the Revolution in Glasgow tonight. She did look quite fit. I was actually surprised to learn she rides in bunch races. I'd always assumed that without two fully functioning hands she struggle to control the bike adequately. Certainly didn't seem to be the case...
Not so much over did it, more like just inappropriate training with a week to go to the record attempt. The dates were what they were. I guess he didn't have the financial resources to make independent arrangements and had to piggy back the national champs event. Given the pre-attempt optimism for a big number, I guess he'll be very disappointed that all the work came to naught and ruing his over confidence that he could make the dates work.
