Hi,

Was out walking on Sunday. According to the guidebook, the short crags to the left of Angle Tarn Gully contain the Angle Tarn Icefalls (visible in one of the photos - the left, easier line was thick). However, well to the right of the gully is a slabby area of ice (zoomed in on one of the photos), looks like a couple of pitches long.. Cant imagine for one minute that these haven't been climbed? Anyone know about them?

Also, the upper pitch of Bronwey Gill that you pass when you drop of Crinkle Crags was very nearly climbable (may be an indicator fo other nearby routes).

Thanks. Having re-read the book, reckon I got confused (I always thought the icefalls where to the left of the gully, on the steep band of rock).

In reply to Simon Caldwell:

Aye, could be excellent before warms up - lots of moisture still about to provide 'fatness'.
