Have been to Cogne a few times in Jan and its been good but thinking of going first week in March now - is it worth going then? - wander if the ice routes will be getting too much sun and deterorating rapidly. Looked at various route log books and only a few listed in March - any thoughts? I have routes like Cold Couloir and Patri de Droite in mind. Maybe Scotland a better idea by then.
Cheers
Steve

Patri was good when everything else is thin. That was last week. Patri so it seems is always good if you can climb the vertical stuff. If you are used to scottish conditions anything is good.

Forget Cold Coloir.
so much snow lately and the risk of an avalanche there is more than real
