I want a book from Amazon.com and was wondered if it was worth getting in terms of postage costs, lenght of time to arrive and potential problems ie damaged on arrival or non-arrival etc

Anyone have any experience of doing this?

BTW shipping weight is 2.7lbs

I've done it a few times and can't recall anything bad happening. Delivery times were flagged as being quite long, but stuff generally turned up early. I'd happily do it again.

I've had a couple, didn't take long to arrive really, perhaps a week or so. Postage on these was barely more than UK, don't know why!
