Amazon is awash with cross trainers, but can anybody suggest something sturdy enough for around a ton/ton - fifty?

I really rate my NordicTrack ski machine, which I've had for about 20 years and used an awful lot. They don't manufacture them anymore but you can still get them second hand. It's a really good workout for both lower and upper body with nothing much dodgy or potentially damaging.
