We're spending a weekend in a camping barn in Borrowdale in a couple of weeks. The youngest team member will be 14 weeks old at that point, so may not yet be up for the full mountain walking experience. As he will also weigh about 9kg, carrying him long distances is also no fun for either of us. So I was wondering whether anyone could recommend low level walks e.g. lakeside, woodland etc where he can potter along and enjoy himself?
Trip to the Bowderstone (and you can do a loop by going on a bit further down by the river, then up and over the fell behind before coming back to the car park).
Lots of good shoreside wandering by Derwentwater. There's also the Allerdale Rambler track that runs between Rosthwaite and Seathwaite, which might be worth investigating.
